NCO Course Passing Out Parade

The NCO Course 2007 Passing Out Parade will be held as follows:


Date: Sat, 1st Dec 2007
Time: 1400 hours
Venue: MacPherson Secondary School
Attire: Drill Order (bring along full uniform without ranks or badges)

The Ten Instructions to trainees:
(1) Have sufficient sleep at night on 30th Nov 2007.
(2) Drink sufficient water at night on 30th Nov 2007.
(3) Have enough food before reporting on 1st Dec 2007.
(4) Report to ZSM Simon Ow at MacPherson Secondary School Hall by 1400 hours on 1st Dec 2007 with a 1.5-litre water bottle filled to the brim with drinking water.
(5) Before reporting to the hall, deposit your belongings in the classrooms at level 1, opposite the flag poles. Bring along only your water bottles. Leave your valuables in your bags. Our friendly instructors will be there to assist you.
(6) Ensure you bring along all required uniform accessories, including your own name tags.
(8) Latecomers will not be allowed to join the Parade.
(9) Bring along enough tissue paper if you cry easily.
(10) If you were alert enough, you would have realised that I missed the number 7.
(11) Have a nice day.

The details of Passing Out Parade (Rehearsal ) are as follows

Date, Day: 24th November 2007, Saturday

Time: 1400hrs (2.00pm) to 1830hrs (6.30pm)

Venue: Macpherson Secondary School
121, CIRCUIT ROAD ( 379499 )

Attire: Drill Order (with beret, nametag and St John T-shirt - either Corp or NCOC T-shirt)



Instructions:

- Assemble in the school canteen in drill order by 1355hrs (1.55pm).
- Bring along one 1.5litre water bottle (filled to the brim).
- Have sufficient rest the night before and hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water.
- Participants who are not able to attend the this rehearsal are required to inform he committee either through the DO St. John HOTLINE (82032782) or through their instructors by 22nd November 2007, 1800hrs (6pm). Subsequently, they are required to produce either a Medical Certificate or a letter of excuse by 1st December 2007, Saturday.

Reporting Time :

Platoon 1 & 2 : 0930hrs
Platoon 3 & 4 : 0935hrs
Platoon 5 & 6 : 0940hrs

Reporting Attire : Physical Training Attire
Corp t-shirt and Corp training shorts / black track pants

NCOC Camp Kit list

1. Clothes sufficient for FOUR training days

a. T-Shirts (either school, Corp t-shirts or plain white round neck t-shirts)
b. One dark coloured t-shirt
c. Shorts / Track Pants (either Corp training short or black shorts with no /minimal design i.e. strips)
d. Undergarments as required
e. Drill Order (i.e. nametag, beret)
f. Windbreaker / Jacket (optional)
g. Poncho

2. Footwear
a. Track shoes / School physical activity shoes
b. Slippers / Sandals (for bathing time)
c. Boots (to be polished)
d. Socks (White AND Black normal length socks i.e. no ankle length sock orsoccer socks)

3. Toiletries
a. Required items for 4 day residential camp (no electrical items allowed)

4. Writing Materials
a. Pen / Pencil
b. Foolscap paper
c. Homework
d. Necessary project materials

5. Miscellaneous
a. EZ link card with at least $5 value / bus concession pass
b. Torchlight with batteries
c. Cutleries (fork and spoon)
d. Small plastic mug (green in colour)
e. Student pass
f. Personal insect repellent
g. Sleeping Bag (optional)
h. Personal medication (as required)
i. 1.5 Litre water bottle x 2
j. Full Field Cooking Set (ALTC only)
- Mess Tins
- Tommy Stove
- One packet of solid fuel
k. Rags (at least one per trainees and to be discarded after camp)
